Born in Japan in 1955, graduated from Musashino Art University in Japan with a degree in industrial design in 1977, studied at International People's College in Denmark in 1985, taught at Musashino Art University from 1988 to 1993, served as the chief designer for the Swiss brand BODUM from 1994 to 2007, and established the design company STUDIO IN THE AIR in 2007. Design honors: Inventor of the globally popular DOUBLE WALL GLASS, which elevated the top home brand BODUM to new heights. Over the years, he has won numerous awards, including multiple European Design Plus Awards, German Red Dot Design Awards, German IF Design Awards, American Houseware Design Awards, and the Japanese Good Design Award.
