Acacia wood, also known as golden wattle or golden silk wood. In China, it is also referred to as the red bean tree. The great poet Wang Wei from the Tang Dynasty wrote in his poem "Xiang Si": "Red beans grow in the southern country, spring comes and several branches bloom, I hope you gather more of them, this thing is the most reminiscent of love." This praises the tree species.
[Wood Properties]: It is an evergreen tree, produced in tropical countries such as Southeast Asia and South America, but the quality of acacia wood varies greatly between different production areas. The production area in Thailand has a superior geographical location, abundant sunlight and rainfall, and is known as the Bordeaux of acacia wood production areas. The acacia wood produced here has the best quality, with few scars, a dense structure, rich color, elegant grain, and high ornamental and artistic value. However, it is produced in small quantities and is relatively expensive, usually used for making high-end guitars and luxury furniture.
[Wood Characteristics]: The structure is dense, with a smooth cutting surface. The grain is wavy, featuring beautiful irregular stripes of varying depths that are unique and elegant. The natural wood grain is clear and vivid, comparable to walnut. The structure is uniform with good strength and impact resistance, and it has strong corrosion resistance. It is extremely weather-resistant and does not easily deform under large temperature variations.
[Economic Value]: Due to its fine texture and vivid grain, acacia wood is often used to make high-end furniture, guitars, artistic inlays, and other valuable items. The flowers of the acacia tree are highly fragrant and are used as raw materials for extracting high-end essential oils and perfumes; both Dior and L'Occitane have special ACACIA perfume lines. The resin secreted by acacia wood has high medicinal value; it can relieve pain, has antibacterial properties, reduces inflammation, and fights viruses. Major pharmaceutical companies worldwide have natural health products containing ACACIA FIBER.
